Grimaldi’s Pizzeria’s Historic Brooklyn Location to Reopen March 29, 2019 Under New Ownership
Award-winning pizzeria joins 42-unit company based in Arizona
Brooklyn, NY – Known for its award-winning, coal-fired, brick-oven pizza, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria announces that the original location under the Brooklyn Bridge will now be a part of the Grimaldi’s Pizzeria company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. Previously managed as an independent restaurant under license, the historic One Front Street location will continue to sell its iconic New York style pizza to locals and visitors. After renovations to the 150-year-old building are complete, Grimaldi’s will reopen on March 29.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria’s One Front Street location will feature two floors of dining accommodating more than 100 patrons. Showcasing family-friendly comfortable rustic décor, the restaurant’s design will feature Grimaldi’s signature red and white gingham tablecloths, handcrafted hanging wine bottle chandeliers, and classic black and white still photographs of Brooklyn, NY, the city where the renowned eatery originated.
Boasting authentic New York-style menu offerings, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria specializes in hand-crafted pizzas, calzones and antipasto, as well as a variety of specialty desserts made in house daily.
With an open kitchen concept, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria demonstrates the art of pizza making, inviting guests to watch pizza-tossing first-hand. Grimaldi’s is famous for its coal-burning ovens, which are heated to a temperature of up to 1,200 degrees to deliver a unique smoky-flavored thin crust. Grimaldi’s crafts its pizza using the freshest high-quality ingredients, handmade mozzarella, a “secret recipe” sauce, and a 100-year-old dough recipe.
